    State Project Number 51SR0001 Renovation of Shower Facilities at Shantz Hall, MSOP – St. Peter A. The work will be done under one prime contract that includes: General, Mechanical, Demolition, Remediation, and Electrical construction. B. The following summary is a general guide to the scope of work. It should not be construed as a detailed list of work included in the contract. 1. Renovation of existing showers and toilets on the first and second floors, as well as the two basement-level toilets, including all associated mechanical and electrical fixtures, in Shantz Hall. 2. Shantz Hall is organized into four residential living units, each containing three bedroom wings, for a total of 12 bedroom wings. Each wing has a shower room layout consisting of two showers with one accessible and the other non-accessible. The doorway for the non-accessible shower needs to be widened. 3. The renovation involves replacing floor finishes, fiber glass enclosure in the shower with tile, doors, toilet partitions and paint. 4. Replace shower fixtures, lavatories, fire sprinkler heads, floor drains and light fixtures. 5. Due to operational and occupancy considerations, the work will be carried out in multiple phases. This solicitation includes qualification requirements. Attachment C of the Response Form contains the qualification requirements for the solicitation. Qualification requirements include, but are not limited to: Responding company has completed as a Prime Contractor (not as a subcontractor) the work for at least three (3) contracts which have achieved Substantial Completion since June 1, 2021, for construction of Renovation of Shower Facilities at Shantz Hall or similar scope of work preferably in secure facilities. Each of these contracts MUST have had a construction value of $1,000,000.00 or greater. OR In lieu of Responding company’s projects, Responder may provide on the form below up to three (3) qualifying projects completed by the Project Manager while employed by others which have achieved Substantial Completion June 1, 2021, for Renovation of Shower Facilities at Shantz Hall or similar scope of work preferably in secure facilities, and $1,000,000 or greater. Project Manager and Job Superintendent listed each has had at least five (5) years of experience with Renovation of Shower Facilities at Shantz Hall similar in scope and value to this project. Each of these contracts must have had a construction value of $1,000,000.00 or greater. This Project has been assigned a 5% Targeted Group, Economically Disadvantaged, Veteran-Owned Small Businesses (TG/ED/VO) subcontracting goal. The TG/ED/VO subcontracting goal will not be a consideration in determining the lowest responsible Prime Contractor. This solicitation includes required insurance as recommended for the project’s specifications and scope of work. It is highly encouraged potential responders review Section 00 73 16 Insurance Requirements, as well as AIA A201, Article 11 of the project manual in the solicitation before submitting a response.
