    The State University Construction Fund (SUCF) is seeking Statements of Qualifications (SOQs) from consultants to provide design and construction administration services for the Replace Roofs- Basic Science Building project at the State University of New York Downstate Medical Center. The Basic Science Building, constructed in 1956, is an eight-story building with a roof area of approximately 53,000 square feet. It has multiple EPDM roofing systems that are beyond their useful life and a ballasted roof installed in 2012. The Project will replace the EPDM roof systems at the Basic Science Building and provide repair work to the ballasted roof. Work includes full removal and replacement of the EPDM roof, installation of new parapets and fall protections and rooftop mechanical equipment. The new roofing system will comply with current energy codes, and any hazardous materials encountered will be abated. The construction value is estimated to be approximately $8,044,000. Consultants are required to register for this procurement opportunity on the Fund’s website at: https://sucf.suny.edu/design-consulting-services/procurements-advertised Once registered, consultants will receive an email with the applicable Request for Qualifications (RFQ) and the link to upload your Statement of Qualifications (SOQ) at the submission deadline. Once your registration is submitted, you will receive a confirmation number and the RFQ via email. Required electronic copies of Statements of Qualifications (SOQs) must be received by the due date and time specified in the RFQ. Proposers should allow sufficient time to account for internet connectivity problems, to correct email address errors, to be processed through filters and security software and to allow for delays that are typical for congested internet servers. Hard copies of SOQs are not required and will not be accepted.
