    CITY OF BISMARCK – LANDFILL COLD STORAGE BUILDING The City of Bismarck is accepting Single Prime Bids for the Landfill Cold Storage Project. Sealed bids may be mailed to the City Administrator (PO Box 5503, Bismarck ND 58506-5503) or delivered to the City Administrator at 221 N 5th Street, 4th Floor, Bismarck, ND 58501 until 3:00 PM CT on Wednesday, May 13, 2026. Bids will be publicly opened and reviewed at 4:00 PM in the Mayor’s Conference Room, City/County Building, 4th Floor. The project scope includes construction of a new Cold Storage Building that includes site preparation, excavation for reinforced concrete footings and piers, and general construction consisting of wood post-and-pier framing, wood trusses, sheathing, wall girts, and roof purlins. The exterior envelope features 26-gauge steel siding and roofing, gutters, downspouts, and trim components. Openings include sectional overhead doors, hollow metal doors, and fixed vinyl windows with flashing. Electrical work includes new service, comprehensive lighting, and dedicated power circuits for equipment. No plumbing or mechanical work is included. Bid Documents prepared by The Origin Group and available for review at regional builders exchanges and online plan rooms. Electronic copies are available at no cost by calling 701-258-7077 or emailing Bidding@TheOriginGroup.com. Hard copies are available for a non-refundable $150 deposit per set; bidders are responsible for shipping and handling. All addenda will be distributed to all registered plan holders, exchanges, and plan rooms. No pre-bid meeting will be held. Construction may begin upon Notice to Proceed and must be substantially complete by October 2, 2026. Each bid shall consist of two separate sealed envelopes, each clearly marked with the contractor’s name: Envelope 1: Bid Security equal to five percent (5%) of the total bid, including all alternates, in the form of a bidder’s bond, executed by a surety company authorized to do business in North Dakota, in compliance with Section 48-01.2-05 of the North Dakota Century Code. This envelope must also include a copy of the contractor’s current valid North Dakota Contractor’s License or Certificate of Renewal, in compliance with N.D.C.C. Section 43-07-12. Envelope 2: Completed Bid Form. Bid submittals that do not comply with these instructions will not be opened or publicly read. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a Performance-Payment Bond. Direct all questions and product substitution requests to The Origin Group at 701-258-7077. Written requests must be received at least five (5) days prior to the bid opening. Responses will be issued by Addendum to all plan holders. The Owner reserves the right to hold all legitimate bids for a period of sixty (60) days after the bid opening, to reject any or all bids, to waive informalities or irregularities, and to rebid the project if necessary. The project will be awarded to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder or the bid deemed most advantageous to the Owner, as determined in the Owner’s sole discretion.
