AI Summary
Alameda Municipal Power seeks market feedback via an RFI for a Wood Pole Inspection, Treatment, and Restoration Program covering 3,727 wood poles. The program includes inspection, treatment, restoration, and GIS data collection to support asset management. Responses are due by June 10, 2026, to inform a potential IFB later that year.
Alameda Municipal Power (AMP) is seeking market feedback from qualified firms for Wood Pole Inspection, Treatment, and Restoration Program for AMP's electric distribution system. This information will be used to develop procurement strategy, scope, schedule, and pricing structure. AMP assumes the following for this project - 3,727 AMP-owned and joint-use wood poles and last full inspection cycle completed in 2017.
Alameda Municipal Power (AMP) owns and maintains 3,727 wood utility poles within its service territory. These poles include both solely owned and joint-use facilities supporting electric distribution infrastructure. Every ten (10) years, AMP conducts systemwide wood pole inspection, treatment, and restoration program for AMP’s electric distribution system. The last inspection cycle was completed in 2017. We plan the next inspection cycle in accordance with applicable regulatory requirements, including CPUC General Order 165. After gathering information from this RFI, AMP anticipates subsequent Invitation for Bid (IFB) as early as this June, depending on market feedback. The final pole list, pole attributes, Graphic Information System (GIS) data, and service territory requirements will be provided to the selected contractor after award of IFB, or earlier if determined appropriate by AMP.
