Currently, a separate provider contracts with our network of HDM providers to deliver meals intended for weekend use. Understanding that there are limited resources to support weekend meals, NYC Aging is looking at sustainable and financially efficient ways to improve the current provision of weekend meals to best meet clients’ needs while mirroring the quality meals provided during the week.This RFI is seeking information regarding how other organizations provide home delivered weekend meals. NYC Aging seeks to: Gather information on proven successful options for weekend meal provisions, including capacity to deliver meals; and Learn more about sustainable and cost-effective weekend meal options and how those options are funded (e.g., cost share, foundational/grant support, fundraising, local or state government funds, federal Older American Act (OAA) funds, Medicare/Medicaid funds).
