Utilize methods as necessary to clean existing plaque/sign. Seal the monument surface with an approved masonry protective coating. Legally dispose of all associated removed materials. Fees will be waived at the Valdez Landfill C&D pit if utilized. 2) Bill Egan Memorial Plaque Monument located at the Valdez Museum: Replace in-kind, any damaged/missing rocks/mortar as needed. Utilize methods as necessary to clean monument/plaque, removing all moss/sediment/oxidation to visually restore/enhance the monument/plaque appearance. Seal the monument surface with an approved protective masonry coating. Any questions regarding this project should be directed to Canyon Rohrer, Project Manager, via email Canyon Rohrer. Quotes will be accepted until 2:00 PM local time on April 26, 2021, at the office of the Capital Facilities Director, 300 Airport Road, Suite 201, PO Box 307, Valdez, Alaska 99686. Quotes will be accepted via email, fax, mail, or in person. Bid documents may also be downloaded from the links below. The City reserves the right to waive any irregularities or informalities in a quote, to reject any and all quotes without cause, and to re-solicit for quotes. Current minimum prevailing wage rates as published by the Alaska Department of Labor must be paid if required by law. Requirements of the Alaska Employment Preference (AS 36.10) must be met. The City of Valdez encourages disadvantaged, minority and women-owned firms to respond and is available to assist said firms in learning how to do business with the City. The City of Valdez “Standard Specifications and Standard Details” shall be used.
