Design services shall include the following: · Site inspection of the existing Judges Elevator to determine what components can be reused if possible and develop plans for modernization and submit to the State of California for approvals and construction permitting. · Coordinate and provide additional professional services such as Structural engineering, Electrical engineering, or Mechanical engineering as needed to produce the design. · Create plans and specifications for bidding to C-11 Elevator contractors and constructors. · Provide a State certified Elevator Inspector to provide site inspection services to ensure that the contractor is installing the specified parts and equipment correctly as designed. · Review County Historical resources documentation for the existing elevator and stations in the building and incorporate the required preservation and work requirements into the bid specifications. · Ensure that all recommended control equipment will interface with existing County ITD network and phone lines, WinDSX security systems, and State Courts Bosch Surveillance camera systems. · Provide a cost estimate for the modernization.
