    Description

    1.1 Scope: The City of Columbus, Department of Public Service is receiving bids until April 30, 2026 at 1:00 PM local time, for construction services for the Resurfacing – Downtown Concrete Bus Pad Upgrades, PID 121652, Capital Improvement Project 530282 - 100162 project. Bids are to be submitted only at www.bidexpress.com. Hard copies shall not be accepted. This project involves upgrading Central Ohio Transit Authority (COTA) bus stops in the Columbus Downtown Business District (DBD) at locations where concrete bus pads do not exist (31 locations). Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) and City of Columbus are partnering on this project to complete the stated work, and other such work as may be necessary to complete the contract, as set forth in this Invitation For Bid (IFB). Only pre-qualified prime contractors are eligible to submit bids for this project. ODOT Pre-qualification status must be in force at the time of bid, at the time of award, and through the life of the construction contract. The prime contractor must perform no less than 50 percent of the total original price. The SBE Goal for this project is 5%. The last day to submit questions is April 16, 2026; phone calls will not be accepted. Responses will be posted on Bid Express as an addendum. Notice of published addenda will be posted on the City’s Vendor Services web site and all addenda will be posted on www.bidexpress.com. A pre-bid meeting will not be held. 1.2 Classification: All bid documents (Invitation for Bid, technical specifications, plans, and future addenda) are available for review and download at www.bidexpress.com. Firms wishing to submit a bid must meet the mandatory requirements stated in the IFB.
