This plan will serve as the City’s guiding document, ensuring that the benefits of a healthy urban forest grow sustainably in response to changing climate conditions and are made available equitably to the entire community. One of the primary objectives of the City’s UFMP will be to enhance citywide canopy cover in the long term, thereby combating extreme heat, mitigating stormwater and air pollution, and improving beautification for recreation and public health.*The progress of this project is contingent upon the availability of funding.
