    1. Improvements to Room 1034 at Corpus Christi International Airport.


    a. Improvements include, but are not limited to, relocation or disposal of existing equipment and finishes; coordination with City Procured Contractor tasked with CT- 80 machine and appurtenances relocation to renovated Room 1034; Contractor to furnish and maintain appropriate and adequate dust control around scanning equipment during construction activities; floor repair where the existing TSA screening equipment is removed from ticketing lobby area; removal and storage or disposal of lights / diffusers as required for new fixtures; modifications to walls to accommodate for oversized baggage and TSA work space;Construction of one (1) opening in the exterior masonry wall of the terminal building for a 6-ft roll up door; Installation of appropriate doors and / or draft curtains for baggage handling equipment; Installation of baggage conveyor equipment from interior ticketing area to exterior of the terminal building for baggage and installation of appropriate doors and / or draft curtain, doors and draft curtain to be Windstorm Compliant; removal, salvage, and storage of existing rollup door on the exterior and fill in door space with masonry that matches existing exterior masonry wall; Installation of new electrical circuits for baggage equipment, to drop down from ceiling OR sawcut and extend service from existing check-in counter to new baggage equipment location; Furnish and install appropriate LED lighting and switches; Furnish and install security improvements, including but not limited to, access control card readers, cameras, panic bar hardware on doors as noted; Furnish and install exterior wall insulation and finish gypsum board, including tape/float/texture/paint; Furnish and install acoustic dropdown ceiling; Cleaning of existing floor and installation of new flooring.

     


    2. Exterior Overhead Canopies for Rooms 1034 and 1044:

    a. Construct overheard canopies on the airside exterior of the Terminal Building. New canopies to include gutter system and lighting. Installation of oscillating fans under existing canopy structures. The Work includes Contractor providing a structure that is Windstorm Certification compliant as follows:

    1) WINDSTORM CERTIFICATION: Project is in a designated catastrophe area and must obtain appropriate windstorm certification for Exterior Overhead Canopies and any other component that requires windstorm certification.


    a) Windstorm Information and Requirements


    (1) 150 mph 3 second gusts, must uphold to new windstorm Code.
    (2) Contractor to submit Texas Department of Insurance (TDI) Application for Certificate of Compliance.
    (3) WPI-1; For New Construction or substantial alterations or additions to existing structures.
    (4) WPI-2; For alternations to existing building.
