    Description

    This project includes the completedemolition and removal of the Physical Education Building located on theUniversity of Texas at Arlington campus.  Gross Square Footage 64,365.  All utilities servicing thebuilding—including electrical, water, gas, and data—will be cut and capped byUTA within five feet of the building perimeter prior to demolition activities.The demolition contractor will be responsible for the full removal of theConcreteStructure, indoor and outdoor swimming pools, including selective demolitionand replacement of adjacent concrete surfaces as required to restore the site.Additionally, the contractor shall protect or remove designated trees, signage,handrails, fencing and sidewalks as identified in the site plan or by UTArepresentatives. Upon completion of demolition, swimming pools will be backfilled completely with clean fill material and compacted to specification.  Outdoor swimming pool and concrete deck is24,666 SqFt.  The site shall be graded toa level condition suitable for future development or landscaping, free ofconcrete, stones and clumps of dirt. All debris and materials generated duringdemolition shall be hauled off-site by the contractor, with an emphasis onrecycling and salvaging materials wherever feasible to support sustainabilitygoals.
