Removal and replacement of sanitary sewer manhole number 4416 and 4417. iii. Removal of clay and cast-iron sewer service lines for each residence in this area and replacement with Schedule 40 PVC pipe. iv. Replacement of asphalt road after sewer rehabilitation is completed. The Work shall include all necessary equipment, materials, and labor needed to perform the work in accordance with the City of Jacksonville’s Manual of Specifications, Standards, and Design. All bids are to be returned to Christy Baysden on May 28, 2026 at 3:00 PM (EST) at the Engineering Division at Jacksonville City Hall located at 815 New Bridge Street, Jacksonville, NC 28540. There will not be a public bid opening. The responsibility for submitting bids (including all documents requested herein) is solely and strictly that of the bidder. The CITY is not responsible for delays in the delivery of the mail or delays caused by any other occurrence. Bids received after the time for closing will not be considered. The CONTRACT DOCUMENTS may be examined and/or obtained at the Engineering Division at Jacksonville City Hall located at 815 New Bridge Street, Jacksonville, NC 28540. Persons requesting shipment of documents shall bear the additional, non-refundable cost of shipment. The City of Jacksonville will conduct a Pre-Bid meeting at 10:00 AM (EST), on May 12, 2026 in Meeting Room A&B, JACKSONVILLE CITY HALL, immediately followed by a site visit. Pre-Bid meeting is not mandatory, but it highly recommended. The Jacksonville City Council reserves the right to waive any informalities, to reject any or all bids, and to accept that Bid or Bids which appear to be in the Owner's best interest. NO WEAPONS: There shall be no weapons or guns allowed on City property or private property you are contracted to work at or on. BID BOND: Each Bidder must deposit a five (5%) percent Bid Security with his/her Bid. LICENSURE: BIDDERS must be properly licensed under Chapter 87 of the North Carolina General Statutes. BONDS: The successful Bidder, upon award of contract, shall furnish a Payment Bond for 100% of the project price; and a Performance Bond for 100% of the project price. A Surety licensed to do business in the State of North Carolina must issue the Payment Bond and the Performance Bond. The Bonds will be executed by the signing of a Power of Attorney by the Surety and will list the Resident North Carolina Agent.
