We invite you to review and provide feedback on Request for Information (RFI) number SGC25009. The California Strategic Growth Council (SGC) is initiating the second round of its Tribal Capacity Building Program, a critical initiative designed to empower California Native American Tribes. This program provides essential funding and technical assistance to enhance Tribal staff capacity for housing and climate-related endeavors. The ultimate goal is to foster long-term self-sufficiency for Tribes in securing resources and executing their own housing and climate projects. This request for information seeks partners to provide crucial technical assistance and support broader Tribal engagement across SGC programs. This RFI will potentially lead to a formal solicitation which will result in the awarded technical assistance provider to work collaboratively with approximately 12 Tribes over a three-year grant period. Their role will involve assessing capacity-building needs, developing individualized plans, and providing no-cost, flexible support to help Tribes achieve their housing and climate objectives. This partnership will also extend to broader engagement efforts, ensuring Tribes are informed about various SGC funding opportunities and facilitating streamlined access to state resources.
