    Description

    The City of Redondo Beach (“City”) is soliciting proposals from qualified vendors for the supply, installation, and ongoing maintenance of a waste compactor to be used for organic waste stream. The intent of this RFP is to obtain a durable, efficient compactor system accompanied by a comprehensive maintenance contract to ensure uninterrupted operation for the City’s Public Works Department, Pier Division.

     

    The award resulting from this RFP will be:

    • Purchase of waste compactor meeting the technical specifications outlined
    • Delivering and installing, the compactor in the Public Works, Pier Division in a designed compactor room with roll-up doors. Location: 100 N Torrance Blvd., Redondo Beach, CA, 90277
    • Providing a maintenance program that ensures continuous and safe operation.
    • Training end-users and facility staff

    The overall goal of this RFP is to select a vendor to supply and install a compactor for organic waste in the City’s Public Works Pier Division to assist in the City’s goal to source separate organic waste and divert from the landfill. In addition, the City is also requesting a proposal for a two-year maintenance contract with the option to extend for an additional three years at the City’s sole discretion.
