    Monroe Community College (“MCC” or “College”) is accepting proposals for instructional resources to deliver (and tailor as required) professional development workshops for the Medical Interpreter Certificate program. These workshops are offered as part of MCC’s Economic & Workforce Development Center/Corporate College’s non-credit schedule. Instructors must be willing to deliver workshops in person and via Zoom, including during evening hours. The Medical Interpreter is a nationally recognized 48-hour certificate program in medical/community interpreting. The program is taught by an instructor with expertise in linguistic, cultural and legal aspects of the medical interpreting, and a practicing Medical Doctor providing services for diverse population groups. The program is based on industry accepted Codes of Ethics and Standards of Practice and addresses in detail the process of National Certification for Medical Interpreters. Workshops are designed to support individuals seeking successful completion of the program and fulfillment of the key requirements for National Certification for Medical Interpreters.
