These populations include but are not limited to: • Low-income individuals • Displaced homemakers: Individuals who have been providing unpaid services to family members and are no longer supported by that income • Individuals with disabilities: Includes youth with disabilities, individuals with mental health challenges, and individuals in rehabilitation or recovery. • Older individuals: Adults ages 65 and older • Justice-involved individuals • Individuals experiencing homelessness • Youth who are in or have aged out of foster care: Includes runaway youth • English language learners • Eligible migrant and seasonal farmworkers • Single parents: Includes single pregnant women • Long-term unemployed individuals This Request for Proposal (RFP) was designed to identify a Subrecipient capable of offering services in an integrated environment where education, career skills training, community resources, employment assistance and wrap-around support are available for priority populations. There should be an emphasis in providing career pathway services and training that aligns with the Workforce Development Board of Ventura County’s priority sectors, with a commitment to clean and sustainable practices integrated throughout each industry focus. Priority sectors include: 1. Healthcare 2. Business and Entrepreneurship 3. Retail, Hospitality, and Tourism 4. Advanced Manufacturing 5. Agriculture, Water, and Environmental Technology 6.
