The City of Jacksonville is seeking Requests for Proposals (RFP) for Bus Washing Services for the Transportation Department, known as Jacksonville Transit, on behalf of the Fleet Maintenance Department. The Agreement may be renewed for up to two (2) additional one (1) year options. The City will select items based upon the criteria listed in Section VIII. that are most advantageous to the City. The City of Jacksonville will be awarding the Purchase Order to one (1) vendor for all services listed in this Request for Proposal (RFP). PROPOSED RFP SCHEDULE RFP Invitation Release Date/Advertisement June 2, 2026 Submission for Questions and Clarifications June 5, 2026 Response to Questions and Clarifications June 9, 2026 Submission of Proposal June 15, 2026 SCOPE OF WORK Bus washing will be performed Monday through Thursday. The final schedule of when buses will be cleaned will be negotiated with the city and the Contractor to ensure that all available buses are in use as needed. Buses are stored at the City’s Public Services Complex located at 350C South Marine Boulevard (behind AutoZone). The Public Services Complex is open Monday through Friday from 7:30 AM through 4:00 PM. Bus Washing Services will be performed at Jacksonville Station, 1300 N. Marine Blvd. Jacksonville, NC 28540. PROPOSAL SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS Proposal packages from qualified Vendors will be due by 2:00 PM (EST) on June 15, 2026, via email to jnelson@jacksonvillenc.gov or by mail. Any Proposal submitted after this time will be considered non-responsive and will not be considered and shall be returned to the Proposer. If submitting digitally, the Proposer may wish to use the email receipt confirmation to confirm delivery of the Proposal. If the Proposal is sent by mail or other delivery system, the sealed envelope containing the Proposal shall be enclosed in a separate envelope plainly marked on the outside with the notations "PROPOSAL ENCLOSED", “RFP - FY27 Bus Washing Services”, and name of the Vendor. For this to be considered a responsive proposal, the proposal form must be completed, all required forms signed and then submitted in a sealed envelope.
