    Description

    The Laguna de Santa Rosa Watershed (Laguna) is on California’s 303(d) list of impaired waters for exceedances of nutrients, sedimentation, temperature, and low dissolved oxygen, among other pollutants. The North Coast Water Board is in the process of developing the regulatory pathway to improve the water quality in the Laguna by reducing pollutant loads into the watershed and increasing the capacity of the watershed to assimilate pollutants and support beneficial uses. This project is designed to inform the North Coast Water Boards’s regulatory process and provide a broad group of entities and interested parties the opportunity to participate in a facilitated community engagement process (Taskforce).The consultant will develop a stakeholder assessment, assist a core team to develop a draft charter, facilitate and draft meeting minutes for approximately 13 Taskforce meetings (spread out over two years), coordinate the core team to ensure all Taskforce meetings are effective and efficient, develop a mid-project report, coordinate group input to develop a draft Implementation framework, provide a final report, and assist in the development of a State of the Laguna Conference to share the results of the process (see Draft Schedule).
