    The County Commissioners of Kent County, Maryland, a body corporate, politic and a political subdivision of the State of Maryland (the “County”) is requesting proposals in accordance with Chapter 49 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Kent County (CPLL) from construction firms with qualified staff in wastewater treatment facilities equipment repair and replacement. The project involves replacing twelve (12) existing pneumatically actuated butterfly valves with electrically actuated butterfly valves, replacing eight (8) existing manually operated butterfly valves, and replacing one (1) backwash flow meter. Additionally, ductile iron piping and fittings identified as being in poor condition will be replaced. The scope also includes all necessary demolition work related to the removal and disposal of existing valves, piping, and assorted supports.
