    The Lafourche Parish Sheriff’s Office (LPSO) is requesting statements of qualifications from qualified and licensed general contractors to provide comprehensive pre-construction and construction management at-risk services for the construction of the River Parishes Regional Juvenile Detention Center (64-bed facility). The project consists of a new regional juvenile detention center to house detained youth primarily from the Parishes of Ascension, Assumption, Lafourche, St. Charles, St. James, and St. John the Baptist, as well as detained youth for the Louisiana Office of Juvenile Justice. The Center will be constructed on property owned by the Lafourche Parish Sheriff’s Office on Veterans Boulevard, in the vicinity of the Lafourche Parish Correctional Complex and across from the existing Lafourche Juvenile Justice Facility. The new campus will operate as a single regional center housing sixty-four (64) beds with the capacity to expand to eighty (80) beds in the future. The complex shall be a “rehabilitation focused” facility and will be designed to provide ample natural light, visitation area, medical/mental health unit, recreational space/multipurpose rooms, administration and classroom space. Each sixteen (16) bed housing unit will have direct access to an exterior recreation space. Design shall comply with the requirements of all authorities having jurisdiction, including the Louisiana Office of Juvenile Justice.
