    St. Johns County School District (SJCSD, SJCSB, St. Johns County School Board, or the DISTRICT) is issuing this Request for Qualifications (RFQ2026-063 or RFQ) to interested roofing contractors for the purpose of selecting roofing contractor(s) to provide roofing services. The response to the RFQ shall be submitted in a SEALED ENVELOPE.This project involves the replacement of a 100+ year-old barrel tile roof on a three-story building in historic downtown St. Augustine, constructed as the city’s school in 1909 / 1910, which now serves as the SJCSD Administrative Headquarters. The scope includes removal and replacement of all roof areas which includes the following:1.Salvaging, cleaning and reinstalling an estimated 9,020 square feet of existing clay tile.2.Sourcing and installing an estimated 5,215 square feet of replacement tile from the original manufacturer (Ludowici, New Lexington, Ohio), profile and color to match existing.3.Installing new plywood sheathing and two-ply self-adhesive modified bitumen underlayment over the existing construction.4.Installing an estimated 610 square feet of three-ply, granule surfaced, SBS modified bitumen at four distinct low slope roof areas.5.Salvaging, cleaning and reinstalling the existing clay tile wall shakes at the two low-sloped dormers.6.Replacement of damaged and deteriorated wood framing, including interior framing as defined by the structural engineers, roof and wall sheathing, and exposed rafter tails.7.All exposed metal flashings are to be copper, concealed flashings are to be stainless steel. Existing copper gutters and downspouts are to remain in place for reuse.8.Painting / repainting all exposed wood framing and soffits.
