    Description

    The Virgin Islands Port Authority (“VIPA”) hereby invites all licensed, and qualified General Construction to participate in its Invitation to Bid (ITB) for the installation a new rotating beacon with a 45’ tip-down pole and housekeeping concrete pad; and the removal of the existing beacon, beacon tower, and concrete pad at the Henry E. Rohlsen Airport, St. Croix, U.S. Virgin Islands. The project also entails the provision and installation of an emergency generator, providing power supply to the new beacon, making improvements to the surrounding gravel pad and gravel access road, and replacing the perimeter fence and vehicle gate. Electronic bids for the furnishing of all labor, material, services and equipment for constructing the beacon will be received by the Virgin Islands Port Authority (VIPA) through its eProcurement site at https://viportbids.ionwave.net, until Friday, May 29, 2026 unless otherwise amended, at which time all Proposals will be publicly opened and available for viewing via Ionwave. All bids will be reviewed pursuant to VIPAs Procurement Policies and Procedures, Section IV Competitive Bidding. A mandatory virtual Pre-Bid Meeting will be held on May 5, 2026 via Microsoft Teams. The Virgin Islands Port Authority reserves the right to waive any informalities in or reject any and all bids, or to re-advertise for bids.
