NOTICE TO BIDDERS WILLIAMSBURG REGIONAL AIRPORT (CKI) RUNWAY 14-32 REHABILITATION AND LIGHTING PROJECT The COUNTY of WILLIAMSBURG will receive proposals for the RUNWAY 14 – 32 REHABILITATION AND LIGHTING PROJECT at the Williamsburg Regional Airport; FAA AIP Project No. 3-45-0033-023-2024. Proposals will be received by the Williamsburg County Purchasing Department, 201 West Main Street, Kingstree, SC until 2:00 P.M. on May 14th, 2026 at which time bids will be publicly opened and read aloud in the Council Chambers on the first floor. Bids received after the stated time will not be accepted. SCOPE OF WORK Williamsburg County intends to rehabilitate their existing runway pavement and replace their existing runway lights at the Williamsburg Regional Airport (CKI). The existing runway pavement is constructed of asphalt and is starting to show several signs of age and pavement distress. In addition to rehabilitating the runway, the County intends to upgrade their existing runway lighting system. The existing runway electrical and lights are out-of-date, require constant repair, and are not energy efficient. This project will include replacing existing quartz Medium Intensity Runway Lights (MIRLs) with new LED MIRLs, new Precision Approach Path Indicator (PAPI) system, and replacing any guidance signs within the project limits to LED.
