    Description

    The project consists of: The project consists of a 4-inch mill and overlay of the existing pavement of Runway 2-20 and Runway 11-29 at the runway intersection, Runway 2 Runway Safety Area (RSA) grading, miscellaneous airfield drainage and runway electrical improvements. Plant transplanting within select work areas. Variable depth milling existing bituminous pavements. Areas of the milled surface pavement experiencing cracking will be repaired prior to placement of the new pavement. RSA grading at the approach to Runway 2 will be modified such that it will meet the current FAA grading requirements. Drainage structures and lengths of pipes that have failed to convey the flow of stormwater as originally intended will be replaced as part of this project. The electrical work includes the removal and replacement of Runway 2-20 edge lights, threshold lights, guidance signs, mandatory hold position signs, distance remaining signs and the regulator serving Runway 2-20.
