Working through the City's realtor, The Real Estate Agency, the City of Auburn is seeking redevelopment proposals and purchase offers to rehabilitate the 24,370 sq. ft. historic theater. Purchase offers and redevelopment proposals should strategically incorporate adaptive reuse for 1930s movie theaters within the South Street Historic District. As the former "heart-beat" of downtown Auburn, this historic structure holds special meaning to the community and is listed on the NR/SR of Historic Places and a local landmark. The City has secured a NYS Restore grant for the property's redevelopment. The property is also eligible for Historic Tax Credits.
