    NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Lewis County will open sealed bids publicly at or after 12:00PM on Thursday, June 11, 2026 at Lewis County Courthouse in Chehalis, Washington for the Sale of Surplus Timber on County Right of Way Kray Rd


    SEALED BIDS MUST BE DELIVERED BY OR BEFORE 12:00 PM ON Thursday, June 11, 2026. (Bids submitted after 12:00 PM Pacific Time will not be considered for this project.)

    Bids may be submitted electronically through the procurement portal at: https://procurement.opengov.com/portal/lewiscountywa or sealed bids must be delivered to the Clerk of the Board of Lewis County Commissioners (351 N.W. North Street, Room 210, CMS-01, Chehalis, Washington 98532) no later than 12:00 pm on Thursday, June 11, 2026. and be in accordance with the plans, specifications, and other contract documents available through the procurement portal.

    Sealed bids must be in an envelope clearly marked: "SEALED BID FOR THE Sale of Surplus Timber on County Right of Way Located Off Kray Road #904 in Chehalis," TO BE OPENED ON OR AFTER 12:00 pm on Thursday, June 11, 2026.

    A Cashier's Check in the amount of $500.00 must accompany each bid and will be returned if the bid is not the successful bid for the timber or credited toward the purchase price if the bid is successful.

    The agreement is available at Lewis County Property Management Office, located at 57 W. Main Street, Chehalis, WA 98532. The Lewis County Property Management Office can be reached by phone at 360-740-2666.

    The Lewis County Public Works Department in accordance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, (78 Stat. 252, 42 U.S.C. 2000d to 2000d-4) and the Regulations, hereby notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively ensure that in any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, disadvantaged business enterprises will be afforded full and fair opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color or national origin in consideration for an award.

      All standing timber located in a strip of land acquired by plat dedication; being a 30' strip on the East side of the section line common to Section's 34 and 35, T14N R3W, W.M., Lewis County, WA., being a portion of the Southwest and Northwest quarters of the Northwest Quarter of said Section 35, beginning at the Southwest corner of Sunset West Division 2 recorded under Auditor's File No. 2002670, thence North along said subdivision to the Northwest corner of Sunset West Division 1 recorded under Auditor's File No. 2002660 and there to terminate. The Easterly line of said strip at the Southerly end to be shortened or extended to intersect the Southerly line of said Division 2 and the Easterly line of said strip at the Northerly end to be shortened or extended to intersect the Northerly line of said Division 1.
