The City of DeSoto is seeking to commission an artist or artist team to design and produce a permanent, interactive sculptural installation for Grimes Park. Final siting will be determined during design development in coordination with City staff.The selected responder (“Responder”) will be invited to enter into an agreement with the City, in a form to be provided by the City (“Agreement”), to provide the Services in accordance with the Scope of Work of this RFQ. The City has the ultimate authority to approve any qualification and to authorize the execution of the negotiated Agreement.Respondents are invited to review the information and submit their qualifications per the criteria established within this RFQ. Written questions regarding this RFQ must be received by the Purchasing Office no later than May 7, 2026. Questions may then be responded to by written amendment to this document. Oral statements or instructions shall not constitute an amendment to the RFQ.All submittals must be received by Thursday, May 14, 2026 at 4:00 PM (CST) at which time all responses will be opened and read aloud. Any response received at the specified submittal location after the due date and time assigned will be returned unopened.
