    Description

    The Office of Attorneys for Children of the Appellate Division, Third Judicial Department, invites applications from attorneys to serve as the Senior Attorney in the Schuyler County & Chemung County Children's Law Office. The Children's Law Offices serves child clients in matters before the Family, Supreme and Surrogate's Courts of Schuyler County & Chemung County, in all types of proceedings where representation by an attorney for the child is authorized by law. The Senior Attorney represents child clients and manages the office, including coordination and oversight of the activities of other staff. In addition, the Senior Attorney inereacts with interested individuals concerning the operation of the office, including the Judiciary and panel memebers. Admission to the practice of law in New York State is required and at least five years of substantial experience in the representation of children is preferrred. This agreement will provide for full-time equivalent compensation between $125,000 to $160,000 per year for the Senior Attorney, depending on the background and experience of the individual selected. Compensation in lieu of fringe benefits is included in that amount. A copy of the proposed agreement may be obtained from the Office of Attorneys for Children at the address below.
