Contractors will be responsible for protecting all existing grass, plants, shrubs, and other landscaping features surrounding the building during all exterior work. At no time shall vehicles or equipment be driven on grass without the placement of adequate ground protection. Contractors must use ¾” plywood, ground mats, or other approved protective materials to prevent rutting, soil compaction, or damage to turf. All plants, shrubs, and landscaping elements located in areas where chemicals will be applied must be fully covered when possible or otherwise shielded to prevent chemical burns or overspray. Only chemical products that are verified as non‑harmful to grass and vegetation may be used near landscaped areas. Contractors will provide a complete list of all chemicals to be used, including the exact product names and the percentage solution at which each will be applied, prior to beginning any work. During any chemical application, all grass and plants within the exposure zone must be kept wet to reduce the risk of damage from chemical contact. Contractors are responsible for continuously monitoring these areas and ensuring proper protection throughout the duration of the work. Any grass or plant material damaged because of contractor activities shall be repaired or replaced at the contractor’s expense. The use of drones is the preferred method of pressure washing. Work should be planned in a way that if lifts are used, they are large enough to reach the building without damaging or removing trees, large shrubs, or any of the landscaping. In areas that this is not possible, drones or repelling may be necessary. The vegetation touching the building can be pruned back by the landscape crew when needed. If any damage does occur, it should be reported to a point of contact immediately. USE OF SUBCONTRACTORS: The use of a subcontractor is strictly prohibited. TIMELINE: Work must be completed in (five) 5 consecutive days. CONDUCT: The Project Manager will be held responsible for his/her employees’ access and behavior. Any employee wandering around the building and/or displaying any improper behavior will be removed from the building and not be allowed to return. CLOTHING: While on premises, the supplier’s employees are to wear Company identified attire to be recognized as supplier’s personnel. Clothing must be neat and free of holes with no offensive logos or language on hats, clothing, or anything wearable by the supplier employee. While on premises, the supplier’s employees are to wear shoes with non-slip soles.
