    Description

    A. The project consists of furnishing all materials, labor, and equipment necessary to upgrade Sewage Pump Station No. 304, including, but not limited to, excavation, demolition, and modification work. Furnish and install a temporary construction chain-link fence with a privacy screen. Coordinate with the school administration adjacent to the property for the location. B. Furnish, install, operate, and remove temporary sewage effluent by-pass pumps, equipment, and accessories. Contractor shall submit plans, calculations, and specifications for Department’s approval before installation. C. Furnish and install appropriate barriers to ensure safety around the Construction zone. The Contractor shall install a temporary 6-foot chain link fence with privacy windscreen mesh within the construction zone. D. Furnish and install Tree protection barriers around existing trees to remain. E. Remove from Dry Well existing pumps, piping, valves, fittings, dehumidifier, electrical components, emergency discharge connection, existing sewer clean out plug, existing concrete slabs, existing steel grating, and ladders. F. The Contractor shall demolish and remove existing dry well from ground elevation to 6-feet below existing ground elevation, including concrete dry well access, and steel beams; Contractor shall seal all existing holes left by the removal of pipes, equipment and ladders before backfilling. Existing dry well portion to remain shall be filled with flowable fill. G. Partially remove upper portion of existing wet well from Top of Hatch at EL (+) 8.83’ down to EL (+) 6.00’. Remove existing wet well top slab, all piping and fillets in wet well; clean inside of wet well structure, sandblast to remove coating, patch and repair all joints and cracks, and prepare surface to apply new coating. Apply new coating. H. Demolish and remove existing Electrical Control Panel, SCADA Antenna, Concrete slab and buried conduits; Remove Unistrut frame for support of panels. Remove the existing Standby Generator Set and concrete Pad; Remove all electrical services. Bid submission must be electronic, through the eBuilder Bid Portal, with a hard copy sent to WASD postmarked within one (1) business day of the bid submittal date, mailed to WASD [3071 SW 38th Avenue, Suite 107, Miami, FL 33146] The original Bid bond Security (in the form of a bid bond or cashier’s check) MUST be delivered to WASD, at the address above, BEFORE the bids are opened. Failure to deliver the original will result in the bid submission being rejected as non-responsive. Invited bidders should have received an Invitation to Bid with an Invitation Key linked to the Invitee’s email address. Upon request, an invitation can be sent to multiple email addresses within the same company. However, if multiple bids are submitted by the same company, ALL submitted bids will be rejected. The bid set includes electronic bid instructions. Training on electronic bid submission is available every Monday from 9 – 10 and every Wednesday from 1 – 2. The RFI cut-off date is five (5) business days prior to the bid due date. Liquidated Damages - $1,000.00 per day. The contractor must include in their bid package the following documents: 1. Appendix 5A, 2. Quotation Forms Pages, 3. Addendums, 4. Bid Bond - Note: A Bid Bond will be required only if the bid meets or exceeds $200K. In addition, a Performance and Payment Bond with additional insurance will be required once bid is Awarded and bid meets or exceeds $200K. Contractor must refer to the Request for Price Quotation (RPQ) and associated project documents for the detail Scope of Work.
