Garey Ave.Pomona, California91769 County: Los Angeles Other Details: The work to be done consists of furnishing all materials, equipment, tools, labor and incidentals as required in the specifications and contract documents, for the following project: for “Sewer Manhole Rehabilitation, FD538 - CC2565 - Project Worktag: 86027.”COMPLETION OF WORK: All work to be done under this subsequent contract shall be completed within 85 consecutive working days for all the base bid work and 25 consecutive working days for all the additive alternate work (if awarded), and if only a portion of the additive alternate work is awarded the allowed additive alternate working days will be prorated based on the dollar amount) beginning on the date stipulated in the written "Notice to Proceed" issued by the City Engineer. All base bid work to begin on the date stipulated in the written "Notice to Proceed" issued by the City Engineer. All base bid work shall be completed concurrently with additive alternate work. ALL work, invoicing, associated punch list, reimbursements, warranties, bonding, guarantees, provide start up training to City, submittals of O&M manuals, 90-day landscape maintenance period (if applicable), retention release, and all associated contract requirements shall be completed before September 30, 2026. Notes: BID GUARANTY: Each bid must be accompanied by cash or by a cashier's or certified check or by a bid bond in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the amount of bid price payable to the City of Pomona as a guarantee that the bidder, if their bid is accepted, shall promptly execute the contract, secure payment of workman's compensation insurance and furnish all required bonds, as identified herein. If submitting cash, cashier’s or certified check, it must be delivered to the Public Works Department by the bid closing time. If submitting a bid bond, a copy must be attached as part of your proposal in Planet Bids. If the proposer is using a bid bond, please submit it in File 1 of your response (pg. 10). Upon award, the selected vendor will need to furnish the original bid bond to the Public Works Department.RETURN OF BID GUARANTIES: Within fifteen (15) calendar days after written notice of the award of the contract, the City will return the bid guaranties accompanying each of the bids that are not to be considered in making the award. All other bid guaranties will be held until the contract has been finally executed. They will then be returned to the respective bidders whose bids they accompany. Special Notices: DO NOT REGISTER FOR THIS SOLICITATION THROUGH A THIRD PARTY OTHER THAN PLANETBIDS. BIDDERS MUST BE LISTED ON THE CITY OF POMONA'S "PROSPECTIVE BIDDERS LIST" ON PLANETBIDS IN ORDER TO PARTICIPATE IN THIS BID. IF BIDDERS FAIL TO REGISTER WITH PLANETBIDS PRIOR TO SUBMITTING A RESPONSE, THE CITY SHALL IMMEDIATELY REJECT ANY RESPONSE YOU SUBMIT IN REFERENCE TO THIS SOLICITATION.Per Section 2-971(2) of the Pomona City Code, any unauthorized contact by the Bidder during the bid process with an official or city employee, other than those shown on the bid, the Finance Director or Purchasing Manager, shall cause the Bidder to be immediately disqualified from participating in the bidding process.
