    Description

    The bid date for this project is Tuesday, April 14, 2026, at 2PM. This purpose of this project is to separate the storm water runoff from the combined (sanitary) sewer system in the vicinity of North 5th Street, from 4th Avenue North to 6th Avenue North, along with the intersections. The project will include the construction of 1015 linear feet of new concrete and PVC storm sewer pipelines along North 5th Street between 4th Avenue North to 6th Avenue North, including sewer diameters from 12 inches to 30 inches, as well as the construction of 14 new storm sewer structures. This project also includes full depth reconstruction of North 5th Street from 4th Avenue North to 6th Avenue North replacing the street with 2349 SY of HMA, 6” thick on 12” of rock sub-base. Also included as a part of the project are curb & gutter replacements, full depth concrete patching, driveway approach replacements, sidewalk and ADA curb ramp construction, earthwork and removals, and other related work for road and sewer construction. The Engineer's estimate for this project is $675,700.00. The City Council will award the bid at their meeting on Tuesday, April 28, 2026. The low bidder must return the signed contract and performance bond by Thursday, May 7, 2026. The low bidder will be required to sign a statement to comply with the City of Clinton's Safety Manual. The notice to proceed and early start date for this project shall be July 6, 2026. There will be 70 working days on this project. The final completion date, which includes all seeding and punch-list items, shall thirty (30) days after the verified substantial completion date. Final establishment of seeding shall be accomplished by May 15, 2027. Liquidated damages shall be per Special Conditions.
