    Description

    A. The project proposes the following work to the water system: • Replacement of the existing 40+ years old 6,000 gallon steel pressure storage tank with 2: 4,000 gallon buried fiberglass storage tanks. • Construction of a new 95 GPM dual-alternating self-priming booster pump system to pressurize the mobile home park distribution system. The existing 6,000 gallon steel pressure tank is pressurized by the 30 gpm well pump. • Construction of a 45 ft extension on the 1.5” PVC well supply line with two buried shut-off valves from the existing water building to the new water tanks. • Construction of 30 ft of 3” PVC suction line from the new water tank to the interior booster pump system. B. The project also proposes the following work to the water distribution system as Add/Alt services: • Replacing 1,300 ft of existing 1.5 in and 2 in aged water mains of various types with a 3 in HDPE water main in the southern distribution system. • Construction of a flushing hydrant on the new southern distribution system main to permit uni-directional flushing. • Replacing 525 ft of existing 0.5 in and 3/4 in water services of various types with 3/4 in HDPE water pipe and individual shut-off valves in the southern distribution system.
