    Description

    With grant funding from the New York State Department of Homeland Security and Emergency Management, the Shawangunk Valley Fire District (SVFD) is excited to embark on a building renovation to allow room for additional emergency response apparatus, storage of medical supplies, and a gym/training facility for members, as well as a building exhaust system. The District is seeking construction services and materials for the expansion of the Shawangunk Valley Firehouse as shown in the Bid Documents. We are seeking four multiple prime contractors for General Construction, Electrical, Plumbing, and HVAC. Selection criteria will include: cost, experience, references, and work schedule. A mandatory pre-bid site visit is scheduled for Friday, March 20th at 2PM. Sealed Bids (7 copies) should be received by April 13, 2026: SVFD 2150 Bruynswick Rd. Wallkill, NY 12589. Bids will not be accepted after deadline. This project is funded in part by a grant from the NYS Department of Homeland Security and Emergency Services. Under Article 15A, Executive Law, the State of New York is committed to providing Minority and Women Owned Businesses (MWBE) equal opportunity to participate in government contracts. The project is also subject to Article 8, and thus prevailing wage requirements.
