    Description

The primary Work of the project is the partial breaching and decommissioning of the basin embankments at the intersection of the portion of the embankments forming all three basins as shown in the Contract Drawings. The Project has been designed in general accordance with accepted engineering practices and environmental considerations. It is the intent of CTDEEP that the project will remove the potential for the embankments to impound water and, therefore, remove the risk of embankment loading, as well as to create access to the dredged material within the basins for potential reuse on State projects.
