    Justification for single source acquisition:

     

    ThinkCERCA is the sole source provider for their schoolwide framework for critical thinking and literacy instruction across disciplines.  They have created a common core state standard-align literacy program for 3rd-12th grade which has been adopted by the state of Florida. 

     

    Distinguishing hallmarks of the online learning platform and content include the following:

    • A technology-enabled argumentative writing component
    • CERCA rubrics aligned to the common core state standards
    • Authentic texts provided for 10 levels of differentiation accompanied by expert, technology-enabled lesson design
    • Direct instruction lessons that introduce key skills and concepts of literacy in a self-paced flipbook format with audio support
    • Flexible, modular design allows easy customization of the instructional material to integrate with district-level technology systems and existing frameworks and curricula
