    Justification for single source acquisition:

    NWEA™ is the sole source provider of MAP® Suite, which includes MAP® Growth™, MAP® Accelerator, and MAP® Reading Fluency. Our unique expertise has been developed over the course of more than 40 years of partnering with educational institutions to help all kids learn.

     

    NWEA™ , a division of HMH Education Company, is the sole owner and providerof MAP® Growth including its proprietary scoringand reporting software.Furthermore, the invaluable research database supporting these products is exclusive to NWEA. NWEA also owns the researchstudies conducted in association with MAP® Growth and controlsthe use and release of the test items deliveredthrough it. MAP Growth has a unique RIT scale. MAP Growth has exclusivecontent partnerships, such as Khan Academy (through MAP Accelerator) Newsela, and McGraw Hill. MAP Growth is the only product that can provide a specific list of content providersthat are exclusiveto NWEA. MAP Growth’s adaptiveness is without grade level boundaries. MAP Growth is the only assessment that takes the RIT score,translates it to ACT and SAT career readiness, and then linksit to our college explorertool. The MAP Growth Learning Continuum is trademarked and is the exclusive property of NWEA. MAP Growth is the only assessment that can take district level data, and through premiumreports, show districtlevel growth withinthe content strandsskills and concepts,based off the Learning Continuum.MAP Growth includesreports for parents,students, teachers, and administrators. The student profilereport is exclusive in that it provides studentlevel data regarding college and careerreadiness, Lexile scores, RIT scores, achievement percentiles, content strand RIT scores, growth projections, projections to the state test, and growth trends. MAP Growth test results are scored and provided immediately. MAP Growth is WCAG AA compliant and supports many accessibility featuresand assistive technology for students (screenreader (JAWS), refreshable braille devices, keyboardnavigation, compatible magnification, color contrast adjustment, test & item aids,Universal Design for Learning (UDL), ARIA and Alt-tagged test items). MAP Growth includes common stimulusitems, items up to Depth of KnowledgeThree, and many different technology-enhanced items. MAP Growth includes Algebra1, Algebra 2, Geometry, Integrated Math I, Integrated Math II, and Integrated Math III course specific tests.
