Sink Undercoating Abatement

The City of Cambridge would like to invite you to submit a bid for Sink Undercoating Abatement. Bids are to be submitted through the Procurement Portal at https://procurement.opengov.com/portal/cambridgema, no later than 2:00 pm on Thursday, August 13, 2026.

Background

Scope of Work:

Remove approximately 41 classroom sinks with asbestos-containing undercoatings at the former Kennedy-Longfellow School, 158 Spring Street. Work includes establishing regulated mini-enclosures, maintaining required engineering controls, and performing all abatement in accordance with the project Asbestos Work Plan and applicable federal and state regulations. 

Bidders are advised to carefully review the City’s Insurance requirements in Section 8 of the General Terms and Conditions.  The City will not waive requirements listed in the bid documents.
