    Scope of Work

    1.1 BACKGROUND: The City of Orange City has purchased two 24’x56’ modular office buildings which will serve as the new Public Works Operations Facility to be located at 1120 S. Thorpe Avenue. The building manufacturer will fabricate, deliver and set the buildings in place on preconstructed concrete slabs.

    1.1.1 PURPOSE: The City is accepting sealed bids from qualified contractors to provide all labor, supervision, equipment, tools, materials, supplies, means and methods as required to construct the entire site development as detailed in the site plans and specifications. In addition, the Contractor will be responsible for all exterior connections to the buildings to include, electrical, plumbing, septic/sewer, etc.

    1.1.2 SCOPE: The scope of work for this project shall include, but is not limited to:

    • Clear and Grubbing • Tree Protection • Erosion Control • Grading • Flat Concrete for Sidewalks, Handicap Parking and Building Slabs • Reclaimed Water Service • Potable Water Service • Sanitary Sewer Lateral • Fencing inclusive of pedestrian and vehicular gates • Landscaping (Trees, Shrubs, and Sodding).

    It is the Contractor’s responsibility to ensure that all documents have been downloaded and reviewed prior to submitting a bid. It is the intent and purpose of the City that this ITB promotes competitive selection. It shall be the Bidder’s responsibility to advise the Purchasing Division if any language, requirements, etc., or any combination thereof, inadvertently restricts or limits the requirements stated in this ITB to a single source.
