    Background

    The City of Bartow is issuing this Request for Proposals (RFP) to procure a high-efficiency, solar-powered lighting system for the parking lot at the Bartow Sports Complex. The project will provide enhanced illumination to improve safety and accessibility during evening hours following events, while supporting the City’s sustainability, energy-efficiency, and infrastructure modernization goals by reducing reliance on grid electricity, lowering long-term operating and maintenance costs, minimizing light pollution, and delivering reliable performance in compliance with applicable lighting standards.

    The City of Bartow will not conduct a pre-proposal meeting for this project. However, all proposers are strongly encouraged to visit the project site to familiarize themselves with existing conditions and gather any additional information necessary to prepare a responsive proposal.

    The Bartow Sports Complex parking area is a public facility located in Bartow and is accessible seven (7) days a week from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Site visits shall be conducted at the proposer’s convenience during these hours.
