    Background

The City is seeking to replace an end-of-life Sci-Text lift station monitoring unit. The new model improves reliability by utilizing multiple cellular carriers and provides real-time access to system data and reports from mobile devices.

The primary function of the Sci-Text system is to monitor lift stations for alarms and send text message notifications to maintenance personnel when immediate attention is required. This supports timely response to critical events and helps minimize equipment downtime.

The proposed unit includes a Sci-Text Plus system with a 10.4-inch color touch screen, multi-carrier cellular modem and SIM card, electrical breaker, router stand, Ethernet cable, and cellular antenna.

The scope also includes installation, programming, system start-up, and training of City staff.
