Purpose: The Miami Dade County’s Department of Solid Waste Management (DSWM) South Dade Landfill has a 30-acre site, including administration and operational areas that are currently experiencing stormwater management issues. Existing conditions include ponding along the access road and areas south of the administration building. The County is seeking a licensed General Contractor or Building Contractor to improve and restore the stormwater management system within the project area. Description of Work: The project consists of furnishing all labor, materials and equipment necessary for roadway and stormwater improvements at the South Dade Landfill. The scope includes, but is not limited to, the following: • Milling and resurfacing of on-site and off-site roads • Road reconstruction of on-site and off-site roads • Milling and resurfacing of the parking lot • Restoration of existing detention areas • Grading and drainage improvements • Upgrading and restoring signage and pavement markings • Installation of a new electrical service General Requirements: • The Contractor shall coordinate with the Facility Supervisor and the Engineer of Record (EOR) to phase the work in a manner that minimizes disruptions to facility operations, equipment, and circulation of vehicles. • Facility operations shall remain uninterrupted during the site’s normal operating hours.
