    Description

    REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS RFP No. PW-S35121-06M The Nassau County Department of Public Works intends to issue a Request for Proposals (RFP) for services regarding the following project: NASSAU COUNTY DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS South Shore WRF-Aeration Blower Facility The Department of Public Works is requesting proposals from qualified firms to provide construction management services. These services may include but not be limited to resident engineering, office engineering, inspection, CPM scheduling services and cost estimating. The Construction Manager’s duties are defined in the “Scope of Services” section of the RFP. Technical and cost proposals regarding this project are due at or before 3:00 PM Friday, February 6th, 2026 the location indicated within the RFP. Please note that this notice is not the Request for Proposals. An actual copy of the RFP may be obtained on the Nassau County website: https://apps.nassaucountyny.gov/eProc/index.php. Vendors doing business with Nassau County, including those responding to this solicitation, must register with the County. Vendors may register at https://www.nassaucountyny.gov/3153/e-Services by clicking the “Vendor Portal Registration”. In addition, any vendor submitting an offer for this solicitation should submit the required vendor disclosures in the Vendor Portal as well. Proposals should only be submitted after careful examination of the completed RFP and its requirements. The firm selected for this work will be required to provide proof of general and professional liability insurance in the minimum amounts of $2,000,000 and $4,000,000 per occurrence, respectively. The successful Proposer shall be required to comply with the requirements of Local Law No. 14-2002, “Participation by Minority Group Members and Women in Nassau County Contracts,” and 2-2016, “Participation of Service-Disabled Veterans in County Contracts.” All Proposers should review the provisions of Appendix EE (included as an attachment to the RFP) which outlines the requirements of Local Law No. 14-2002. Technical proposals shall include information regarding the Proposer’s plan to comply with Local Law No. 14-2002. All phases of this project (engineering services and construction) are eligible for financing through the New York State Environmental Facilities Corporation (NYSEFC). Proposers should carefully review the “NY State Revolving Fund Bid Packet for Non-Construction Contracts and Service Providers” which is included as part of the RFP. Among other requirements, the successful Firm shall make documented “good faith efforts” to achieve 15% Minority Business Enterprises (MBE) and/or Women’s Business Enterprises (WBE) participation, and 6% minimum good faith efforts for the participation of Service Disable Veteran-Owned Businesses (SDVOB) in the performance of the work. Additional requirements may be needed for compliance with other funding sources that the County is pursuing. A site visit will be led by Mr. Vella on Wednesday, January 21, 2026 at 10:00 AM, all attendees to meet at the PMJV Trailer Complex at the South Shore WRF.
