ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS
The Town of Southwest Ranches, Florida, is soliciting sealed bids from qualified firms for roadway resurfacing, striping, and related improvements on various Town roadways, as more particularly described in the Contract Documents, Plans, Specifications, and Bid Schedule.
The work shall include, but not be limited to, milling and resurfacing at various depths as depicted on the plans, asphalt overlay, limerock and roadway reconstruction, roadway striping (including thermoplastic traffic striping, reflective pavement markers, and glass beads), signage, brush clearing, swale regrading, maintenance of traffic, erosion control, and site restoration. No work shall be performed outside of the Town’s right-of-way unless otherwise specifically authorized.
This Project is anticipated to be funded, in whole or in part, with Broward County Transportation Surtax funds. The solicitation, resulting contract, and all subcontracted work shall be subject to the applicable requirements of the Broward County Transportation Surtax Program, including the 2025 Transportation System Surtax Interlocal Agreement, the Standard Terms and Conditions for Surtax-Funded Municipal Transportation Projects, and any County-required provisions, all of which are incorporated herein by reference.
A Non-Mandatory Pre-Bid Conference will be held at 10:00 a.m. EST on Wednesday, July 15th, 2026, at Town Hall located at 13400 Griffin Road, Southwest Ranches, FL 33330 and on Microsoft TEAMS (reference virtual access information in the IFB document). By submitting a Bid, the Bidder acknowledges that it has reviewed the Contract Documents and has familiarized itself with the project sites, existing conditions, and any factors that may affect the performance of the Work.
All labor, equipment, materials, permits, supervision, and incidentals necessary to complete the Work in accordance with the Plans and Specifications shall be provided by the Contractor. Construction of this Project will require close coordination with the Town and the Engineer of Record. The specific roadway segments and limits of work are identified in the Kimley-Horn and Associates plans and the Bid Schedule.
Bidders shall meet the Minimum Qualification Requirements set forth in Section 1.4 of the IFB document. All work shall comply with applicable Florida Building Code requirements, and the Contractor shall warranty all materials and workmanship for a minimum of one (1) year.
