Sealed Bids will be accepted at the City of Waco’s Operations Center, 1415 N. 4th Street, Waco, TX until 2:00 P.M., Wednesday July 29, 2026. The dual effort of the City of Waco and TxDOT for the Speegleville Bridge Over the Middle Bosque Project is a 0.54-mile bridge and roadway reconstruction project of Speegleville Road from Maple Shade Road to north of Oak Road located in the City of Waco, McLennan County, Texas. The project consists of reconstructing approximately 2,200 LF of roadway and adding an additional northbound and southbound lanes, creating a four-lane roadway separated by a striped median. The bridge crossing consists of constructing two different bridges elevated over the Middle Bosque River, each 670 feet in length. In addition to roadway improvements, construction of approximately 1,500 LF of storm drainpipes and culverts, and construction of pedestrian sidewalks on the east and west sides of the roadway.
