Scope includes coordination with the Long Beach Utilities Department and installation of new water connections, water meters, and backflow preventers to serve the proposed SASC buildings, and associated protections from construction related activities; installation of temporary or permanent electrical equipment necessary to maintain uninterrupted service to surrounding campus buildings, including Building Z and softball and baseball fields; demolition and removal of existing stadium structure, seating, athletics field track, utilities footings, ticket booth, surface parking areas serving the stadium, and related site features including walls, chain-link fencing, gates, landscaping, and other improvements as required to construct the new building development; and installation of temporary sidewalks, pedestrian pathways, and other site improvements as required to maintain campus circulation and support future construction activities. This phase of work will prepare and stabilize the site for the subsequent construction of the new Stadium and Athletic Sports Complex.
