    SUNY Stony Brook University Hospital is seeking to procure essential equipment for its Ambulatory Surgery Center. Currently, the center relies exclusively on the Stryker stretcher for transporting patients to and from the operating room. Introducing different stretcher technologies could lead to training challenges and may compromise patient safety. It’s critical that all our stretchers maintain consistent mechanics, particularly regarding the placement of Trendelenburg and reverse Trendelenburg controls. from a contract awarded by Premier Inc. pursuant to its authority under section 163 (3) (vi), which authorizes the purchases of commodities from a consortium or comparable entity in lieu of using a centralized contract and without a formal competitive process when justified by price.
