    Description

    The Columbia Association (CA) seeks bids for the supply of recycling containers and recycling services to various CA facilities. The selected contractor shall provide curbside recycling collection, transportation of recyclable materials and provision of containers as specified herein. A listing of facilities, container counts, and recyclable material types is provided separately in PlanetBids. Outdoor pool facilities, the SportsPark and outdoor tennis facilities operate seasonally. CA shall not be invoiced for services during seasonal closure periods.1. Supply 8-yard containers for the following facilities:- CA Maintenance Facility- Hobbit’s Glenn Golf Club- Fairway Hills Golf ClubThe remainder of the facilities have recycling containers in place, but the selected firm will be required to supply additional or replacement containers to all facilities, on an as-needed basis. A listing of facilities and count of current recycling containers is provided herein as a guide, but the selected contractor shall adjust the number or size of containers as needed.2. The selected contractor shall provide curbside collection of recycling on a weekly basis, and twice weekly for the Supreme Sports Club. The types of recyclable material that need to be picked up at each facility is included in the facility listing provided in PlanetBids.3. Please note that several of the outdoor pools may require additional 2 yd. or 4 yd. front-end loader carts to be provided by the selected contractor. The contractor will be required to empty the carts on an as needed basis. The service for the 2 yd. and 4 yd. front end loader carts is listed on the pricing schedule as optional items.4. CA owns and maintains ten (10) Village Association properties and three (3) Community Centers that are leased to independent commercial tenants. These locations are included within the scope of services under this contract solely for the purpose of establishing a uniform recycling service provider. Recycling services provided to tenant-occupied spaces shall be billed directly to and paid by the Village Associations managing each respective location. The contractor shall be responsible for maintaining separate billing records for each Village Association as directed by CA. CA shall not be financially responsible for recycling services provided to tenant-occupied spaces.
