    Description

    The City is requesting proposals from qualified Contractors to perform repairs to the pool at Mineral Palace Pool located at 1602 N. Santa Fe Avenue, Pueblo, Colorado. The awarded Contractor will strip/remove the existing pool paint/coating, replace caulking to joints as necessary, clean all pool surfaces, repair any damage to concrete/surface area, and apply/coat the pool surface with approved (or determined as approved equal) materials as outlined in the SCOPE OF SERVICE & PROJECT REQUIREMENTS.

    The awarded Contractor shall be responsible for all administration, personnel, supervision, management, labor, programs, consumable materials, shipping, handling, delivery, travel (if necessary), insurance, profit, and equipment necessary to provide the services requested in this Request for Proposal (RFP).

    Background

    Mineral Palace Pool was built in 1964 and is approximately 337,000 gallons for the main pool plus approximately 3,590 gallons for the baby/wading pool.

    Mineral Palace Pool has approximately 10,000 sq ft surface area (including the baby/wading pool).

      By confirming below, the Proposer, having carefully read and considered the Request for Proposal (RFP) for the above referenced project, does hereby offer to provide such goods and services on behalf of the City in the manner described and subject to the terms and conditions set forth in the attached RFP. All goods and services shall be provided at the rates set forth in submitted proposal or as negotiated by all involved parties.

      Proposer acknowledges that the company is qualified to provide these types of goods and services. At any time during the selection and award process, the City may request information substantiating the indicated requirements. Failure to provide this information may result in a proposal being declared non-responsive. Proposer acknowledges and accepts that all components of and responses to this RFP will be included and become a part of the final agreement by reference.

      By submitting a proposal for this project, Contractor acknowledges the nature and location of the work, the general and local conditions, particularly those bearing upon transportation, disposal, handling and storage of materials, availability of labor, water, electric power, uncertainties of weather, physical conditions at the site, the character/quality of surface and subsurface materials to be encountered, the character of equipment and facilities needed prior to and during the work, and all other matters which can in any way affect the work or the cost thereof under this Contract. Failure by Contractor to acquaint themself with all the available information concerning these conditions will not relieve them from responsibility for estimating properly the difficulty or cost of successfully performing the work.

    • Waiver and Release (required)

      The City may conduct such investigations as the City considers necessary to assist in the evaluation of any proposal to establish the responsibility, qualifications, and financial ability of any potential Proposer to perform the services specified under this RFP within the prescribed time. By submitting a proposal, the Proposer authorizes the City to obtain information concerning the Proposer’s performance on other projects it has completed during the prior ten (10) years, including those identified in the submission and those not so identified, of which the City may become aware. By submitting its proposal, the Proposer and subconsultants waive and release all claims against owners, architects, and engineers, and their agents and representatives, relating to or arising from the furnishing of such information to the City concerning the Proposer’s performance on prior projects. In order to effectuate the intent of this clause, each Proposer may be required by the City to execute information release authorization forms, which specifically release all information providers from all claims that arise from or relate to the information provided.
