    Description

    The Lake Champlain-Lake George Regional Planning Board (LCLGRPB), the federally designated Economic Development District serving Clinton, Essex, Hamilton, Warren, and Washington Counties in New York State, is seeking proposals from qualified consulting firms to assist in the development of a Smart Growth Comprehensive Plan for the Town and Village of Argyle, Washington County. This project is funded by the New York State Department of State (NYSDOS) Smart Growth Community Planning Program. The selected firm will work closely with LCLGRPB staff to provide support in the following key areas: · Public Engagement: Assist in facilitating up to four in-person community events and conduct stakeholder interviews to gather input for the plan. · Document Design: Assist with the layout, formatting, and production of the final Comprehensive Plan document. · Demographic Analysis: Access relevant demographic information and analyze it to develop user-friendly materials for the planning process. · GIS Mapping: Create and provide mapping for the following topics (not limited to): o Project area context and sub-areas/hamlets o Existing land use and land cover o Future land use o Population density o State-owned lands and recreational resources o Infrastructure and public utilities o Historic, cultural, and scenic resources Additional maps and visual materials may be requested for use during public engagement activities. · Planning-Level Graphics and Visualizations: Develop diagrams, renderings, and other visual content to illustrate priority sites and concepts identified by the Comprehensive Plan Committee and the public.
